FOR WHOM WILL THE BELLS TOLL IN NOVEMBER?

Okay, you do not have to say which candidate you'll support, since that would be too personal, right? Maybe not. Like everything on this blog, it's up to you what you say here, but you should have some space to talk politics if you'd like. So who do you favor, the man on the left or the man onthe right?

THE MAN ON THE RIGHT!!! gives a new meaning to right hand man! Huh!
so I did a semester long project for government last year, taking a news article each week for 13 weeks, analyzing it, summarizing, and putting together a little portfolio. I would never had known some of the things I do about Barack Obama, if I didn’t take government at the right time. I’m not the type of person to be like Obama is better than McCain, but I will give you some insights as to why I choose Obama…I won’t “fight” with Republicans, its why are a free nation, and have the ability to choose who WE want!!! One thing I do love about this race is, either way we are MAKING HISTORY!!!

Yep, let me see…. GOP or PUMA? My candidate would definitely be McCain. I would like to apologize to the whole liberal college staff and university of making a fool of myself, going on about conservative against liberal. Let’s just agree to disagree. I will make my first assignment writing on this topic. While everyone in the nation has opinions about who will win, the better candidate, what’s better for the country, and who they particularly endorse or want, we as a nation basically need to look @ a couple of things. One who his supporters are; Obama- young voters, the liberal news cast who holds Obama up as if he could do no wrong, & people who are tired of the way things are going. McCain- the majority of… veterans, military personnel, white supremises, people who are not ready to see a dark president, Hillary supporters, NRA, conservatives, and those Americans who just see through Obama’s misrepresentation. And count the groups who have sent out groups to reassure he doesn’t win as in making all kinds of banking calls.

Ok...For sure the man on the right is my guy. This country needs change and change for the better. I also believe that we need to do something about EVERYTHING. I would agree with datagnon, with the whole who votes for who, and you have your right to vote for whoever you want, This is America, isnt it. Thats a luxury in this country. I was told by my psychology teacher in high school that the more schooling or education you have the more liberal you can be, or you could possibly be as conservative as any liberal at heart could be. Its just the way education pushes you. But whoever you are believe in your candidate and your vote can make the difference.

I am, once again, so pleasantly surprised by the writing here. There are some great ideas here, too. And even though it is true that the majority of college faculty are lefties, there are more conservatives than you might think. Shall I name names? No, but it's a funny thought.
You people are a most impressive group of writers...keep it up!

Man on the right would be my pick. Why? Close to 80% of people in European countries thinks Obama should be next president of the US, so that must have some meaning. On the other side most of the people in that same European countries thought that it is almost impossible for president Bush to be elected second time but he did. After all this I would not be surprised to see McCain as president, and his endless war for oil. I must apologize for my harsh comment, I guess I would never be politician.

i think this caption is humorous because it's imitating real life; the two candidates are dukingit out for the chance to become our next President.
And George Bush is just sitting back and watching the fight probably thinking...I'm glad I'm not up there!

If I were allowed to vote I would definetely vote for Obama. However, I believe that also McCain would improve the situation right now since everyone seems to be better than Bush. In addtion, a democratic president would advance the most considerable step for the U.S. towards the future. I don't want to draw comparisons to the past but I believe that Americans should consider the last republican leadership. Liberalism and democracy go hand in hand with modernity; therefore, conservatism relates to holding on to traditional rules and norms which doesn't seem to help Americans improving their country. To my mind, (and I seriously don't want to offend anyone who doesn't share my opinion) letting go from such traditions and "old fashioned" ideas would be the best for America.

Honestly, I don't know too much about politics. So i'm not going to try and choose one or the other. Since I just turned 18, I'm still a bit confused, and unsure. I am for and against many different things. Issues such as gay marriage and abortion are pretty heated topics and i'd prefer not to go far in detail in any of those subjects.

From what I've heard, McCain is old and conservative, and obama (according to my grandmother who is registered democrat, but voting for mccain) is "too liberal".

I don't think i'm voting, even though my vote does count. i just don't feel as if i'm ready to make a descision yet.

also, how i view it, it's cool to like obama.

it's "cool" in my generation. At my work, a skate brand, "OBEY" makes a shirt that says, "PROGRESS" with Obama's picture on the front of it. WE HAVE SOLD SOOOO MANY OF THOSE SHIRTS!!!

you don't even know how many parents and republicans have walked in and said, "WHERE ARE THE MCCAIN SHIRTS?!" and i have to reply, "we aren't in control of what we get in shipment, i apologize"

and then the customer replies, "WELL THEN! I'M NOT BUYING MY SON OBEY SHIRTS ANYMORE!"

do you really think it's cool to wear a 70 year old man on your shirt? no.

i didn't think so.

This is my personal opinions, others may think otherwise. I believe Mccain is just too old to control a complicated country. However he may smart man too. I beleive, however, Obama is putting forth more than 100%. Everytime I see him on tv, I see him trying really hard, and see Mccain kin of taking it easy, thinking he has it in his pocket. The outcome will be very fun to follow.

I would definitely have to go with the man on the right. Obama is dedicated to change and that’s exactly what our country needs right now. Some conservatives might argue that he doesn't have enough political experience, but I have faith him. I think most people would agree that we need something completely different from the Bush administration, and Obama is the right guy for the job. Lastly, I think the United States is ready for an African American President!!

OBAMA OBAMA!!!!!
its time for change, and i believe that obama will bring good change into the US. unlike the bad change we've had so far....

I think either way, America will be better off than we are now. The economy can't get much worse! I will be voting for McCain because I feel like he would keep our country safer than Obama would and I like that McCain has more political experience. I think if Obama ran next race and he changed a bit of his political views I would think about voting for him if McCain doesn't do as good of a job as I think he will.
