I think basketball is the greatest sport! I have been playing competitively since the 5th grade. I like how fast pace it is and the adrenalin rush you get when you score. i like how it's physical and the team effort is the key to winning.
Ok this is the easiest question in the world, of course BASKETBALL!!!!! That game is my life. I also worked for the basketball team for three years. I play everyday either at home on my full court or ta the park. Tracy, I also love the fast pace and the physicallity. My sister plays for Stockdale's varisty, and their style is similar to boy's team, physicall, intense, and fast! I will probably do something in this sport in the near future.

Talk about a physical sport, try catching every inning, every game, for a whole season, that means 7 innings, 2 hour games, PLUS PRACTICES!(oh ya, and an injury to my left knee, so I could squat completely!!! I was the only catcher on the team. Anyways I am not going brag or make you think softball is the best sport, but seriously, I will admit I hate baseball but love softball. Softball is so UN predictable, and baseball the batter strikes out, pops up, or homerun. TEAM USA ROCKED! Even though they got a silver medal in the last Olympics that the sport might be allowed it still shows that the world is catching up to us getting three GOLDS...anyways I love softball!
The greatest sports is definitely baketball. If you miss a basket, you don't have to wait forever to get the ball back. Just 24 seconds later, you will get the ball back. No other sport is a fast paced, fast moving sport like basketball is. Go Lakers .

oh yeah i forgot to say why its the greatest sport. ive been playing soccer since i was four years old. back in the day i used to be the pele/maradona of ayso ahhah. but those days are over, now i just play defence, left side. soccer is just fun. easy to pick up. all u need is ball control and a decent kick. its one of those sports that u can just get with a bunch of ur friends and just pass the ball around and talk. i remember last year was the last year i was allowed to play in ayso becuase my age, not because of this incident. it was the second to last game of the season and like always it turned out i was the last line of defence. guess my team was to offencive for me or somthing, but anyways, so here comes a guy from the other team down the left side and i can see that hes plannin on centering the ball to his other teamate. he was dribbling the ball with little control so i saw my chance to take it from him. the ball was about in the middle between the both of us. so were both givin it all we got to reach the ball. and alright check it out, we both kicked the ball at the same time and i just felt the ball become really enlongated like an oval. well it turns out i won the duel becuase the ball went flying to the other side of the field. but yeah... the other guy wasnt so lucky, it turns out i broke his shin. he was layin on the field crying tellin the ref to stop the game. and yeahh... an ambulance came and everything. perty crazy foo, perty crazy. but yeah that didnt had anything to do with y its the greatest sport but yeah w/e. cant wait till the next world cup, in africa. now ima re-read this and make sure it makes sense.

It's a very active sport and it takes a lot of determination. I've only played for fun with family and friends but it's a sport i've loved since childhood. It's hard for any other sports to compete with it.
What Americans like to call soccer (futbol, football, nogomet) is the best sport. It is just fun to watch it. It is fun to see fans of futbal in Europe going crazy on big games. It is amazing to hear 50.000 people singing synchronized on Liverpool stadium for 5 minutes before every game. It is not just a sport :)
The greatest sport is soccer. I have played club soccer for the bakersfield gunners as well as in high school. Moreover; I have been playing since I was 5 yrs some of my teamates now play soccer here at CSUB as well as other universities. I really enjoyed playing the sport and traveling to different cities and states as well as the competiveness, and receiving awards like MVP before. Sad but true the last time I played the greatest sport was 3 yrs ago.
Well in my opinion Tennis is the best sport. Its competitive and fun all at the same time. You may not play in a team but the team is always there cheering you on. I played three yeas in high school and it was the best!
I am going to have to say FOOTBALL!!! Good ol' american football (not soccer) I love the fact that you never know what will happen next: an interception or will the team get that first down. The penalties are always the worse The 45 - 50 yard passes are always the heart stoppers or when your teams on the 5yd line and they need the TD to win its just so exciting. You'll see the quarterback throw the ball deep and the reciever is running and ill be standing up face stuck to the TV just hoping the ball floats right into the hands of whoever is catching it. I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and i just love to watch "Americas Team" i get a little to into it sometimes but its a family thing we all get decked out in our cowboy gear and watch the games then well BBQ and either celebrate the victory or mourne the loss either way i stick with my team and its just fun to watch and get into.
Wrestling is for sure the greatest sport in the world. Takes dedication and hard work. Although its not the most popular sport, I believe that if people knew more about the sport of wrestling they would have a greater appreciation.
well i measure the "greatness" of guy sports on how good the players look in their uniforms so i guess baseball and swimming are THE GREATEST SPORTS OF ALL TIME.

soccer by far is the greatest sport!! it is recognized worldwide and the game is amazing. there are few rules, no timeouts, only two haves, and it can be played anywhere.
we played one time with like 15 people on one team, in the dark, on half a field. there aren't ever outrageous scores so its simple. you can play in the street, on a field, in a field, or anywhere and have an awesome time.
Well this question is obviously based on opinion, but Im going to have to go with basket ball as the greatest sport. I am horrible at basket ball but it is my favorite sport to watch. Basket ball has less people on the stage, and cooler tricks than any other sport.

Talent such as the ability to have a high vertical and to shoot. i think you can work on shooting, but to certain degree, your either born to be a shooter or not.
